Mower is about 10 years old with a 61" deck & 27 HP Kohler. Mower Part # is 2690479 with serial# 2000592453. Decided to grease front caster and tire/wheel bearings. Everything has been disassembled, greased and ready for reassembling.
Would like to know the proper procedure to tighten the castle nut used on the spindle for the caster taper bearings?
Also, any special torque on the locknut for the 1/2" axle bolt for the wheel bearings?
I have experience with trailer bearings.
