I recently acquired a 185 hydro and after my first mow I just had a few simple questions. I received this mower from my father in law, so I know it was taking care of (parked inside and seldom used) but probably was NOT routinely maintenanced.
1.) The steering is a little tough. As I have to use two hands to make the tight angle turns. Just wasn't sure if this is normal or just a matter of greasing some connections.
2.) When I use the foot brake my throttle kicks down to a crawl and I have to reach down to increase previous speed. Taking my hand off the wheel, which makes problem 1 interesting at times. I feel this should be adjusted.
