I have 18hp Briggs, when i turn key nothing happens,i have to jump selinoid to start it. Is it ignition or sellinoid problem.

there is three terminals to the solenoid, two large and one small. Take a test light and see if you get voltage to the small terminals when you try to start it. If you do I would say the solenoid is bad.

It is highly likely that it is the solenoid which is the problem. I had the same problem on my John Deere a couple of weeks ago and it turned out it was a bad solenoid. Do the test which reynoldston suggested, you will probably find it is the solenoid which is causing the problem.
