self-drive cable change on Webb WER21HW

The self-drive on my Webb mower ceased. I cannot work out how to get into the components to change the cable (if that is the problem) because of plastic shrouds. Anyone have knowledge or experience of these ?

Looking at the parts breakdown I think you have to remove the rear baffle and discharge cover to access the transmission. This manual show’s location of screws holding them on. I think the belt mayb
