Hi all, so I got the ZTR mower now I need a good blower.
not sure what to look for but was thinking about a backpack version
the price does not matter just as long as that thing can hold up for years to come and maintenance of care is not too bad.

thanks in advance

I would definitely go with an Echo. I would go with the PB-500H or "higher": Leaf Blowers, Handheld Blowers, Backpack Blowers, Quiet Yard Blowers | ECHO USA. But Stihl would be good, too. A lot of people say it is better to get a tube-mounted throttle, not a hip-mounted throttle. One of the Echo's with a tube-mounted throttle is the PB-500T.

I have the echo PB-500T. It is a great blower with plenty of power. I have never used a blower with the hip mounted throttle but I like it mounted on the tube. You do everything with one hand.

Both Echo and Stihl offer great quality blowers. I prefer the Stihl over the Echo, we sell both, and you won't go wrong with either brand.

Stihl and Echo are both good Blowers. I run the Stihl which I prefer, the 550 is a great blower with plenty of power. I also use the 380 and it has plenty of power. Been running them both for a number of years with no problems.

Not a big item here with homeowners. The few homeowner units I see around are Craftsman or Troybilt 4cycle types. Look to be the same unit. The schools, cemetery, hospitol, assisted living type places use Stihl or Tanaka.

its there any reason why one would pay $50 more to get the Stihl BR 600?
what if any benefits vs the 550?

on a side note, I like how they look.

I did a comparison on the Stihl website and I can't really find any differences!

there isnt really a difference, i have used both and they work the same. the 550 is somewhat lighter i think. but the magnum has better padding. go with the 550
