Howdy all and thanks for the great forum! I purchased a used SWZ52V that was involved in an accident. It bent the engine deck and cracked the motor sump/oil pan :frown: Last night I pulled the engine and removed the oil pan and searched ebay for a used replacement, found one for $55 + shipping. Does anyone have experience with straightening/bending engine decks? I can cut, weld and fabricate and have access to torch and welder. I called my local Scag dealer and requested drawings and or dimensions of engine deck but they told me to contact Scag, which I did through their website but no responses yet. Thanks again all

This is the only photo I have of the deck and it's hard to see the damage. I supported the frame with some steel plates and took my 20# sledge hammer a gave it a couple of whacks. Then I took some heavy duty welding clamps and finished the fine tuning with them. Came out pretty flat according to my straight edge. I bought the oi sump on ebay and waiting for it's arrival.
Thanks

Sounds like you got it all figured out. Last one I fixed was a front deck mower. It was lots of pounding.
