Scag walk behind blades not engaging

I have a scag 52” velocity walk behind the blades won’t engage when the pto is on I used the mower for 30 minutes and the blades stopped working. I’ve checked the wires an they are plugged up good to the clutch.

If it is a new mower, take it back
If it is an old mower then we need model & serial numbers of your mower

It is a older mower it’s a 2009 scag 52” velocity with a 19hp Kawasaki
