Scag Turf Tiger Kills While Mowing

I have a Kohler Command Pro 27 HP motor. It runs fine for about an hour of cutting, then it will start running like it is not hitting on both cylinders and backfires then it kills. If I turn the PTO off and choke it a little it will run a little better but not like it should. Any help would be appreciated.

When it starts running rough take off the fuel cap. If it starts running right you have a problem with the tank vent.
