Repairs SCAG..BACKFIRES/WON'T STAY STARTED??

MY SCAG TIGAR CUB IS BACKFIRING AND WON'T STAY STARTED. IF ITS NOT ONE THING ITS ANOTHER. 22HP KOHLER MOTOR. MODEL NUMBER-SCT48A SERIAL NUMBER 8402894
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! I'M DONE LETTING THE SCAG COMPANY IN MY AREA RIP ME OFF AGAIN!
 
First change the plugs if that does not work you will need to set the valves, that is more what is sounds like but plugs are easy to do, you can get on the Kohler page and check the setting If I remember it is .003 for the intake and .005 for the exhaust, Its Me
