Everyone should be aware of S 510 - Food Safety Modernization Act. Supposedly. its intent is to make our food supply safer, but that doesn't make sense when at the same time, GMO crops are allowed to be planted freely without regard to any dangers to humans, animals or the environment. I can't help but wonder what the real intent of the bill is.

Yes, S 510 is being talked about some on that other thread, but I'm glad it's been given its ow thread. From what I've read, that bill could be devastating for small growers and home gardeners without effecting big corporate farmers much, if at all. I think people should be aware of that, and I hope others can add more detail for what passage of that bill could mean for people like us.
