Rolled tractor, now it won't run right

Just got a Craftsman GT tractor with a 22HP Kohler + 50" deck. Ran great when I got it. My yard is very steep and while my smaller tractor would run sideways on the hill, found out this one won't. Anyway, rolled over one time, gas + oil both poured outta filler necks until I got it uprighted. Started right up + ran fine for a few minutes, then started surging, missing, + even back firing out exhaust. If it sits for awhile, same thing, runs good for a few then starts surging again. Any suggestions, I really think this is due to it going over. Nothing really damaged, but it sure don't run the same.
 
Yeah, I did all the obvious, pulled air cleaner, cleaned pcv + tube, same problem. Suges + sounds like it's runnin outta gas.
 
I would start by changing the oil and ALL filters. Could have jarred some dirt loose and it is blocking the flow of fuel through the fuel filter. Could have fuel in to crankcase and a soaked air filter.
 
You say you checked all the basic things. Like ALL filters, oil, and plugs. You did say you are getting a good fuel flow. If so maybe you better start looking for the non basic things.. Like something got damaged when you rolled over. Could it be a seat switch? The seat would take a hard hit if it rolled over. You will have to think what could of got damaged. Petals and linkage might take a hit. Safety switches? If you think you have a fuel problem maybe dirt laying in the carburetor bowl and now after the tip over the carb needs a cleaning. I am just guessing here.

Unfortunately, my vent hole is open, that's where the gas was runnin out. BUT, that was a GREAT suggestion. I too had a tractor with a plugged vent + it ran EXACTLY like this. Took me forever to find the problem. I'm leading a motorcycle ride today, hope to get back workin on the tractor tonite. Thanks for the many great ideas, I'll be checkin them one by one + let you know what worked.

Had my bike out yesterday, in the 80's and no rain here in NY. Good thing I took advantage of the weather because today we are having rain all day. What kind of a ride are you leading and what do you have for a bike.

I'm a Road Captain + Membership Officer for the Tuscarawas Chapter of the HOG club. The ride I was leading yesterday is called an Old Goat Ride. I do it every month on a Wednsday afternoon and it's a short 50-60 mile lunch ride with mostly retirees. Oldest rider to show up gets lunch on me and an Old Goat patch for his vest. Current rides are a 2012 Road King (Porker) and a 1999 Sportster 883 (Piglet).
