Replacement Starter motor

My Toro Wheelhorse 227-5 17hp has a Kawasaki FC540V-3807 17hp engine and has a Denso 21163-2085 128000-7070 starter motor which has an 11 tooth Bendix gear. I need a new starter motor but am finding motors on the internet are Denso 21163- 2093 fitted with 9 tooth Beendix gear. Are these 21163-2093 9 tooth motors compatable with my Toro flywheel ring gear?
 
If the distance from the mounting bolts to the starter shaft are the same you can usually swap out the starters and change over the bendex
