Replacement carb Lt1000 Kohler CV461s

Looking for a "good" replacement Carb for Craftsman LT1000 with Kohler command CV461s 16HP engine.

Replacement parts numbers are 12-053-68 (carb only) and 12-853-68s (complete "kit").

Lots of replacement carbs on Fleabay and Amastink, but none match those numbers exactly.

Already been through 2 Asian Atomisers. They run full out with coke on, but stumble and die when choke is off. No adjustment other than idle speed. Same vendor, replaced with no questions asked, but that could go on forever.

doublecheck the spec number but I am coming up with a 12 853 132-S superceding to 12 853 160 futher ceding to 12 853 179-S for the CV461-26504. Kohler dealer shows the 12 853 68 supercede to 12 853 131 which further cedes to 12 853 178-S used on the CV15 but not a CV461

My source for those number is the old sears/craftsman user manual which has diagrams and part numbers in the back.
Imagine your numbers are better.
