removing 930m fuel pickup

Have the fuel problem down to the fuel pick up it has some kind of goofy retaining system on it how j the heck do you get that thing released with out breaking the plastic, it has 3 silver tabs I can see but the don't press in or pop out. As it is an almost 50 dollar part I would rather not break it if I can clean it out and reuse it. Nor do I want to break the fitting on the tank
