Remove the bolt to the right of the fuel cap and the tank and carb should come off together than you can separate the carb from the tank.
Thanks for the reply. I went out to work on the mower yesterday. Maybe I am stupid but did not see either the bolt to the right of
The fuel cap or the breather tube.

In your first picture, between the gas cap and the carb, straight in you will see a bolt head. Might have to clean all the oil and dirt off it. Believe us, we’ve all removed it a hundred times.

I have a Bolens. 12A-414A065 21” mower. I will not start. I am trying to remove the carburetor. I removed the air filter and housing for the flywheel. I removed the fuel hose and theee screws that hold down the carburetor It is made of plastic but do not want to pry too hard for fear of breaking something. Any recommendation?
One the back of the carburetor you will see a black hose ( breather tube)attached. Remove it if you can. If not pull on the carburetor until you can get to it. Those carburetors are held on with two inner screws through the cover. The outer two screws hold on the air filter housing. After that’s removed it just pulls out.
