M MRCo. Well-Known Member Dec 9, 2013 #2 50:1, though a tad richer like 40:1 on break in is good. Redmax oil is excellent, but any good name oil like Opti or Stihl ultra is fine. Just don't buy cheap mix.

A andrew's lawn care Member Jun 7, 2014 #3 use stihl, echo or redmax oil. DO NOT use marine oil. 50:1.
