Oh boy... alright got 40p hours on engine. once motor got hot (usually right at 1 hour of use) it shuts off mid mowing. The shut down is abrupt and final. Took to 2 dealers they cant replicate.took home and bam it kept dying. Called exmark raised hell about warranty and they took it in replaced fuel pump ,filter, pto switch/wiring, and pto clutch( it would only die when pto engaged and mowing , never died unless it wss actively mowing).
Got it back and had a year of service up to 550 hours. Same thing is happen again, but now im out of warranty. Fyi once mower dies the first time in a day after hour or2 of use, it will restart after 15 seconds and sound fine for a bit but will start shutting down more and more frequently. So i got the idea when it shuts down to instantly kill pto switch and throttle down and full choke. Its surges and stumbles but i can feather the throttle and choke up and back for say 10 seconds and save it from shut down. Once stable i turn off choke throttle up and go back to mowing ugh minutes later another battle to keep it running. If i play the 2 levers choke and throttle a few rounds it will start to hunt and surge rev high rev low rev high and repeat . This has me lost, feels like a fuel thing with the chokes impact yet the failing sfter time/getting hot reminds me of spark/coils. Thus far filled with ethanol free and seafoam. Replaced fuel filter and fuel pump. No help yall. After she gets hot still shuts down. Plz hekp any testing or ideas,past experiences, etc
