R110 won't free wheel

And sometime it even takes a 5/16 reamer. It is basically the same setup as the Peerless and Splicer mower transaxles. Now the Peerless and Splicer manual multi speed transaxles are truly multi speed units.

And as for the transaxle it is a single speed transaxle with a CVT pulley system. MTD has two flavors of the system. One that use a stepped tension system like the one you have and the Auto Drive version that variable tension.

I have customers that want to argue with me that they have an automatic transmission especially when I change the two drive belts on the MTDs

I wish it was more accessible. Of course the mower is up on my pickup so nothing is e=really open except the rear at the moment.

If on a pickup slide the mower back to where the rear wheels is on the tailgate (hopefully this the direction the mower is sitting). Remove the RR wheel to gain easier access to where the brake caliper is. From you remove the two screws holding on the caliper. This will remove the pressure on the brake disc rotor. Then you should put the wheel on and roll the mower off the truck.

It is fixed.

Actually had a friend take it into his shop that has a lift. We drug it onto the lift from the tailgate, and he messed with it while I was off on a job for another friend.

The report is, the pins were stuck, he cleaned them up and then checked to see how it would run, and he found that the mower had apparently never been used. Nothing in the gas lines, carb perfectly clean with no sign of gas ever being in it.

Put gas in it, and a new battery, then it fired right up.

It's be a good mower for the smallish yard at the beach house.

So, the little mower is fixed.

What a hoot! It is perfect for the smallish yard at the beach shack, with a tight turning radius, The high speed setting is a bit too fast, but even with that, this little guy gets the job done.

Picked it up on the cheap, and it has worked out great.
