Push mower no gas cap

I recently came across a free mower. I’ve only previously used electric push mowers. The owner was using a pickle lid as a gas cap. Is there anything missing besides the gas cap? Doesn’t look like there anything for the new cap to screw onto. Craftsman model 247.377050

The gas tank is part of the engine assembly so we'll need the engine model number, refer to here for information on how to identify your engine.
