Don't discount the obvious - kinked hose. Most inexpensive sprayers rely on the hose to maintain it's shape. Good idea if the hose doesn't get twisted and bent during normal use. I use Tractor Supply brand 1.5 gal sprayers. Yes, they are inexpensive and basically throw aways if anything fails. I add a spring over the hose where it exits the sprayer and enters the wand. This keeps the hose from kinking. Takes 3 mins and cost about $2.00 for the springs. And they are reuseable for the replacement sprayer. Now that's thinking Green!
