Pulsa-a-prime carburetor

Hi, Guys. Does anyone know how to remove the primer bulb from those cheap Pula-a-prime carburetors. I need to soak the carb. in cleaner and didn't want to immerse the primer bulb. Thank you.

Hi, Guys. Does anyone know how to remove the primer bulb from those cheap Pula-a-prime carburetors. I need to soak the carb. in cleaner and didn't want to immerse the primer bulb. Thank you.

The primer lock ring has a locking tab on each side that have to be pressed in to remove the primer. They are still a pain to remove, even with the Briggs primer removal tool.

Push one side in at a time with a flat screwdriver. Spray a little lubricant on the tabs to help 'em slide out a little easier. Yeah, they're a pain:frown:
