I have a 2010 z force 54, was backing up and pto stopped as expected. went forward, and it did not re-engage. I took the side panel off to check the pto switch and the r/side reverse safety switch. the pto looks fine, the reverse safety switch however is a different story. I checked the switch and cannot get the little plunger to move, ( when the bar hits it, i assume it should push in )
I checke the left side and it seemed to work fine ( plunger pushed in easily ). Now for my question
If the reverse safety switch goes out on one or the other side, will it keep the pto from reengaging when you return to forward motion. i disconected the switch and it made no difference when trying to actuate the pto...still no response.
all help is appreciated. hate to by pto switch if it may be something else. i am able to jump the pto, so i dont think it is a issue with the pto clutch.
