problems replacing spindle bearings in a Grasshopper 725K 61" 9861 deck

Hello, What is the best way to replace the bearings on this type of mower? It is a 2003 model. It is the right side spindle which has the blower attachment on it. I have removed covers, belt and bolts and removed the blade but I cannot seem to get it to come off. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

2003 Grasshopper 9861 Blade Spindle Assembly - Parts Diagram Make sure you have all the bolts out & use a 2x4 wood against spindle & strike 2x4 with big hammer, SAFETY FIRST WEAR SAFETY GLASSES & GLOVES, make sure no one is around so as spindle will not hit them.
