Power devil pdgplm4235 wont start, found loose cable

hi guys, no idea what make the engine is sorry, maybe you can see from the attached photo, this mower been good for 10 years, then it cut out the other day, i figured it needed petrol as it was low, topped it up, no start, ordered new spark plug an replaced, still no start, then i spied a loose cable with a connector on the end, i cant find anywhere obvious that this should connect to or even if its relevant to it not starting?? Ill attach a pic so you can see

Looks like it's originating from the coil-pak and is a ground wire. Look for a male spade within reach of the wire to include under the flywheel. If you can't find it just cut the end off and attach a ring terminal to the wire that would fit one of the bolts on the cylinder head.
 
cheers, searched and searched for that male connector cant see anything anywhere!! will have a look at bolting the wire onto the cylinder head, would this ground wire stop the mower from firing up?

Yes, it will not fire without the ground wire. If you have a spare male spade and have room, connect it to the female. Flatten the end of the male which would normally have the wire going into it. Find a bolt on the engine, back it out a little and slide the flattened end between surface X and the bolt. Tighten bolt and test the starting. If it works, make a better ground connection with a ring terminal, etc.
