B bertsmobile1 Lawn Royalty Mar 24, 2021 #2 With infrequent use things like chain saws it is generally debris blocking the muffler. Loosen the muffler bolts and see if the saw works properly. If so remove the muffler & look for blockages. Can be a dirty spark screen or bugs taking residence
