My Poulan Pro PPB150e runs fine under idle but dies once a load is put on the engine. I do not have the tools to check the compression at home, so I would like to try what I can here before taking it in. I have checked the fuel filter and cleaned the air filter. The user manual says to adjust the carburetor and/or check compression. What else can I try before taking it in?

Take the carburetor apart and clean it. Blow out all thr jets and small holes with compressed air.
