To be honest, if it were me in the OP's situation, I would be reluctant to share the information about my cancer in a public forum, with a group of people I didn't even know. My brother recently (in the last year) underwent an operation for major and advanced prostate cancer and he didn't even want to share the news about his cancer with anyone he worked with. Quote: "I don't want people to feel sorry for me".
I might feel the same, and might not feel the same, in his or the OP's situation. But if it helps someone relate their problem with others who are sympathic and understanding, so much the better. I am very poor at expressing sympathy because to me, the words "I'm sorry for what you must endure" seem so ordinary but I cannot really come up with something more original. Achingback who authored post #39 speaks from the heart, and beautifully so. I wish I could be so talented.
