There has always been speculation about post counts here and I for one have no aspirations in gaining or "winning"in that category. I have always felt that an informative or entertaining post is worth hundreds of the nonsensical, inflamatory or otherwise useless type.
I just came across what is probably the best post I have ever read. It's in response to probably the most challenging dilemma of all. The OP is just like us, busting his hump trying to get er done and he runs into a problem.... he's at the end of the road.

Thank you for sharing, a very sobering and thought provoking thread.

To be honest, if it were me in the OP's situation, I would be reluctant to share the information about my cancer in a public forum, with a group of people I didn't even know. My brother recently (in the last year) underwent an operation for major and advanced prostate cancer and he didn't even want to share the news about his cancer with anyone he worked with. Quote: "I don't want people to feel sorry for me".

I might feel the same, and might not feel the same, in his or the OP's situation. But if it helps someone relate their problem with others who are sympathic and understanding, so much the better. I am very poor at expressing sympathy because to me, the words "I'm sorry for what you must endure" seem so ordinary but I cannot really come up with something more original. Achingback who authored post #39 speaks from the heart, and beautifully so. I wish I could be so talented.

wow,I'met' Transit when I started a thread on my hip .I just left him a note on his post.I've seen a lot of folks die both in combat and working in a hosp for 34yrs.words are hard to offer to someone that is terminal but so is silence.Death is part of living ,its how you live thats important...russ

Some people view the people on forums as family. TBN and LMF have a great group of people and I am not surprised Transit reached out to them. It nice to know your are in peoples prayers even though you really done know them by name. Wish Transit the best.

Most everything we can encounter is in fact too temporary... The people, places & things we get to contact, sometimes, can seem to be an annoyance but almost everything you respond to 'develops' who you are... people as a rule tend to place their importance completely out of true perspective,

So you refer to FP here or on TBN? People cannot access the FP on TBN unless you are a member there with at least 50 posts, I tried to use the link Robert Brown gave on my Blackberry last nite, and the TBN site requested me to log in before I could read it.

BK, I do not remember ever seeing one of your posts on TBN so I guess you do not visit there as often as I do.

Nope, I was a member there first and since I found this Forum - I look sometimes, but usually don't post. Only had 13 posts there (until today) ! :rolleyes:

I don't check any lousy TBN links, because they are always in the FP, which has the postcount requirement to even see it. I don't even bother. :rolleyes: :mad:
