I am planning to learn to "force" tulip bulbs. The idea behind it is to "chill" the bulbs for the required amount of time to get them to bloom. Have you done this before? Can you re-use the bulbs each year?

My mom use to do that...
and she reused most all of her bulbs every year.

Tulip is my favorite flower... I wish I would have paid closer attention to how she did things... :smile:KennyV

Lucy, when I worked in a greenhouse we would do that with daffodils, tulips, lilies, hyaciaths etc.we would pot them in the fall and put them in a cellar were it was cool and around this time of year would bring them up and put them in the greenhouse. I believe you can reuse the bulbs but in my experience ours were sold so I'm not the authority on that . russ
