These gauges are not the greatest for mower pulleys but they work well enough to show me the amount of wear. I would like to see some that goes deeper in the V. This is because the pulleys being partially belt retainers. Now the ones the gauges belt wear works fine for me.
And not everyone is tech savoy either. I was dealing with a Cub Car dealer tech this last week that couldn't even email me a wiring schematic. I manage to find it myself so I don't need to drive 40 one way to pick it up Monday.
Boy what an idiot that screwed the wiring of the Cub Car. It came with all the wires off the solenoids. Several new in the glove box had cross threaded terminals. He completely disable the charging system and had the starter solenoid operating all the time when the cart was operating. The darn thing was wired with two ignition switches with one completely wrong for the cart. It going to be a costly mistake to have let touch the cart for repairs. It took me a half day just to figure out how he screwed up the wiring. On top of that he threw away cables, cut wires, and didn't know SAE nuts don't work on Metric threads. And of course this 2002 cart uses both SAE and Metric fasteners.
Now I got figure which CVT clutch removal tool I need as the belt from the generator/starter to CVT drive clutch is shot. Probably will have to order one if the ones I got don't work. I hate buying one time use tools. They are used one time and sit in toolbox years collecting dust before I might need then again.
