For a while now I have been using replacement oil seals from Stens. They are black and the outside has a rubbery coating. They work fine. I recently ordered some seals from another vendor and they came in and they are slightly different, they are blue in color and the exterior is hard metal. I'm wondering if the groove in the crankcase casting will hold these as securely as the rubber coated ones? I don't want to install a pair of seals, then put the engine all back together and find they don't stay in place. Any advice? I got 10 of the blue ones, I think they are supplied by Rotary.

Yes they will be just fine
The full steel case are a little harder to press in than the rubber coated ones.
