I have a snapper mower with a Tecumseh TVS-90-43248D engine that is leaking oil around the engine mounting bolts beneath the deck. I see no sign of leakage above the deck. Do I have an enginw with a cracked block and is it repairable? The bolts are tight.

First thing to determine is the source of the leak. Give the unit a good bath and dry it good. Next run the unit for able 20 minutes and shut off and look for the source of the leak. You may have to let it sit awhile. Let us know where you spot oil first.

I agree with Rivets you first need to find the leak. Bad crankshaft seal would leak under the mower. If the block is cracked it might be repairable? It will depend where it is cracked.
