Odd noise under powerfold deck

I'm running a Duramax 61" power fold deck. Sometime back I mowed into a large rock hidden in the tall stuff. Quite a racket so I shut down and took it to the shed to check it over. Other than badly nicked blades I could see no other damage. Put new blades on and fired it up. Now I've got this harsh quick rubbing noise that is consistent every second to a second and a half. I checked to see if I'd wrapped up some wire around a spindle but there's nothing. I can't see any rub marks anywhere. Other than that noise it runs and cuts as it should. No vibrations like a bent spindle would put out. Everything on the deck spins a whole lot faster than one revolution a second so I'm stumped as to what would move that slow and still make very noticeable noise.
