I remember way back when, Snapper, Toro, and John Deere were at the top of the heap.
 
Forum action wise, the Honda section is pretty hot. Lots of issues with those mowers. Won't pull backwards, really? Numerous other issues that you will never see on a Snapper. I'm still waiting on any brand to make a better more reliable mower than the Snapper Hi-Vac. Guess you can't sell a mower unless it has some new wax auto choke nonsense and 4 blades.
