Not all carburetors are the same.

Have tried contacting Husqvarna, Briggs & Stratton for obtaning a diagram and phot of how to connect the linkage
on a THY24V48 Tractor with a B&S 44R877, type 000G1, Code 140613Y6 engine. The issue is that need clarification
of how the Governor Link and spring connects to the Carburetor. The engine came with a Kikki V Twin carburetor a side
photo is attached.




Photos found show an extra linkage connection to the left of the throttle but the one in on hand does not have that connection. See photo.



How does it connects. Any information will be appreciated.

IF the you have the air vane then you have the wrong carb installed. Otherwise there two other ways the choke is connected. One is a manual choke and the other is throttle controlled choke. The carb is not an auto choke version in the first image.

I have never seen the air vain setup on that size engine.
Are you sure of the type number on the engine looks like it has a digit missing.

Nikki double barrel carburetor. Need better pictures to clarify what you are asking.

You will sooner or later as they are out there. It is just like the air vane intake manifold replace the older manifold at a lower cost. The only difference is the o-rings style and the air vane spring post. I know as I have done it. I also worked several with the air vane setup.

And yes a digit is missing from the type number so I assumed it was one the first 10 types. 0000-0009.

And yes carbs are different as I have yet to see a 4 barrel Holley on a mower's engine and some mower's don't even have a carb.

Thanks for you input. You are correct that the new carb does not match the old carb. My rookie fault for accepting seller comment that it was compatilbe with the Nikki V Twin 791093. The questions are:

1. Can the new one be used? if so, how is the governor attached (if possible)
2. Can you suggest a distributor that has the carb as the old one.

Any idea who sells the old style carb?

I have sent Briggs an email for the correct PN for the ready start carburetor. Awaiting a replay.

Briggs is no help as all they want to do is to stick me with is a dang AI.

But here is the style carburetor that the old one is. You might have swap out the jet. Your carb supposedly uses two different sizes so don't mix them up.
