Looking to up the game of my electric sprayer. I'm not a pro, just a guy with some acreage to contend with. Maybe some of you pros came across these over-produced
electrostatic backpack sprayers that I presume are a love child of Covid and the mask-up industry. $40 on "repurposedmaterialsinc.com." Still available today, but I started buying them 3 years ago; 2 for me at different properties, and 4 as gifts. Obviously made in China, with the expected "rost in transration," and general abscence of user directions, specs or support. My 1st one has maybe 100 hours of use and hasn't missed a beat. 2+ hour spray time on a charge, but the delivery rate is too slow. I spray Roundup Pro Plus at various dilutions, depending on the target. I'm seeing no more than 2 gallons per hour; this is clearly a product of nozzle restriction. The motor and pump feel like more could be attained by uncorking the nozzles. Any suggestions for a hack that might open up my flow rate by a factor of 2X or so, especially thoughts on where to shop for hardware to play around with mods? BTW, I've thought of putting the nozzles I have on a drill press to enlarge the orifices, but I asssume that would destroy the atomization characteristics. I still need a spray pattern, not a stream. Thanks in advance for ideas!
