I have a Countax C600 with A Vanguard 16hp engine. The engine will not turn over, and there are no clicks.
The problem started after I removed the fuel tank from the Countax. Despite clipping the fuel line, petrol succeeded to get on the PCB. After reinstalling everything, there was no response when I tried to start the mower. The engine did not turn over, nor was there any clicking. I suspected the PCB as the mower was fine until I removed the fuel tank.
I checked the wiring to and from the circuit board and I cannot find any problems.
I also checked:
Battery - Fully Charged.
Power to the solenoid - No problems.
Coil Circuit - Fine
Fuses - Fine
Ignition Switch - No problems.
Starter Motor - Good.
Seat Safety Switch - Fine.
Power is not getting to the solenoid coil. So I am assuming the PCB became damaged when I removed the fuel Tank. I looked at the PCB and can not see any visual damage but can’t think of any other reason’s for the problem.
The questions I have are:
Would petrol getting onto the PCB cause a no starting problem?
Is there any way to confirm it is a damaged PCB before buying a new one.
Am I missing something?
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Ron
