Don't get ear buds they are very bad... Never listen to your music to a point you can't hear your surroundings I use simple overhead noise canceling ear phones I can hear music. It dulled down engine noise and I can hear if someone is screaming at me

When I bought my Scag Tiger Cub with a collection system I had to increase the capability of hearing protection. I bought Peltor H10 A HV and I have been happy with these. I keep two sets in my trailer so I can swap out to a dry set periodically. I also have the next two lower level of Peltors so I can hear better while running my trimmers, back pack blowers and chain saws, gotta be able to hear trees when they split or crack while cutting them down!!!

I use the yellow 3M Work Tunes. You can use them with an I pod as well but I have never done so. I love them with just the radio. If mine died tomorrow I would buy another set the first time I went to the store.
