No spark

I have a briggs and stratton 13r23200 16f1 590603 on a log splitter with no spark. I have changed the ignition module (with 2 different ones), the spark plug(with 2 different ones) and just now the flywheel. I have left the kill wire off, but still no spark. Suggestions?

Ignition module installed upside down poosibly. And was the module installed with the correct clearance from the flywheel.

Are these OEM modules or Chinesium from other parts.

The new one was installed with the kill wire at the bottom of the module like the old one and I used a business card for the gap as I have always done.

is this a module that requires voltage to operate (has a 12V wire also) or is it a coil that has only the plug and kill wires. I would also measure resistance between the head and coil body. It should be close to zero and not open, in K ohms, or in M ohms.

What about the on/off switch? Is it working properly? Did you check your grounds?
