No reverse on snapper series 15 model # 331415KVE

No reverse on snapper series 15 model # 331415KVE ,33"rear engine rider. When I jack up the rear end it shifts smoothly. Question...no problem going forward,just cant shift into reverse,....the smooth clutch assembly (rubber hub has cracks) can this cause the problem?. Is there any type of adjustment?
