Ran out of gas almost, filled it up. Started up first pull ran great minute and a half, quits, no falter, stumble or cough. Pull it to start feels like no comp checked plug no spark. Kill wire looks and feels fine haven't dug out the vom yet. Lawn half done momma not happy

Sounds like the coil may be bad. If it starts again after it has a chance to cool down and then quits again when it gets hot, this would say to me that the coil has either a hot short or hot open. Time to replace the coil.

So is the no spark the reason for the "0" compression? Is there a compression release and if so how does it work?

No lack of spark is not the reason for no compression. Sounds like a valve issue.

As the ACR on the camshaft I have yet to a broken ACR to cause zero compression low compression yet but not zero. On this camshaft the ACR opens the exhaust valve a crack just before TDC compression to reduce the starting compression but still should at 70 psi normally. Note when looking the rockers the exhaust valve is the one close to the flywheel and intake closest to the PTO end.
