Hi. We just bought our first riding mower - a 2002 Simplicity Regent with 38" deck. We got it from the original dealer who had taken it back as a trade in for another mower. It is extremely clean and even looks great, although the seat has a couple of cracks in the vinyl. The guy who delivered it said they are very busy this week as many people want to mow this weekend. Having only had push mowers before, how do we know when the ground is not too soft to mow? Right now the ground still feels squishy just walking on it. It might be ok by this weekend for our push mower, but how much longer for a heavy riding mower?

Drive around your property with out trying to cut. Watch the tires. If you see they are getting wet, too much moisture, no cutting yet.
