So got it on the table today oil was very black so gave it a oil change the auger rubber is worn not terrile but i ordered new ones anyway (26 dollars times 4 pieces) ouch needed a scraper bar to that wasnt so bad the engine looks good interesting as there is no air filter on this machine and the plug is definately needed.

So now i am waxing the chute (a trick a learned at my old job helps stop wet snow from sticking) I am going to put on about 3 or 4 coats replace the auger rubber and scraper bar new plug and its going to be basically a brand new machine I am probably going to add an inline fuel filter because why not? the grease on the chute rotater cuff is pretty dirty so I might clean that up and regrease.

$150 for machine
$200 in parts :) still think its a good deal :/ the parts is kinda going to happen when you buy a used machine however for $350 I could have gotten a toro :/

Putting these augurs on... is seriously a pain in the butt... I've gotten 3 on you have to wedge them in there and use a hammer to slowly get it in there.

The new plug and bottom scraper bar are in new oil change and so far 3 coats of wax on chute can't wait for snow

Review of my HS35 honda snow blower.

This thing is great starts right up and has lots of power. It does start to slow down after about 3in but you can power through if you need to. It is not as powerful as its toro competitor but for what it is its fantastic gets the job done fast and efficient would recommend it to anyone.

Honda issued two Service Bulletins on the HS35, way back in the late 80s.

One was for a leaking oil filler pipe; some units left the factory with out sealant. Unless you have oil leaking from around the base of the filler pipe, no issue. If you do, remove the filler pipe, clean and inspect for any burrs, and apply a little silicone sealer to the threads...

The second was for an improved design scraper bar that works better than the OEM design. The new scraper bar is Honda Part Number 75201-730-010, and has a list price of $21.10. Google the part number to find a Honda Dealer selling it online, or use this link to find a Honda Dealer in your area: Find A Honda Dealer

If you'd like copies of the bulletins, drop me a PM with your email and I'll send 'em to you.

Awesome when I replaced the scraped that's the one I bought. And I did have a leaky oil pipe I just put a o ring on it seems to work

The first thing I would say to do is to wax and detail it.. After all , its a Honda and it deserves it :)
