***I moved your thread to the Honda Forum.

As you know, I have many good things to say about Honda, and I too have an HRR. I can't name any negative things but some positive things include the Clip Director on the 2013 HRR's, so there is no need for a mulch plug!! I think that is a great feature!

We love ours! Easy to start, mulches clippings and leaves into dust, and it is so-o-o east to start. Well built and did I mention it is easy to start?

Enjoy your new easy to start Honda!

I've got a GCV160 engine on one of my mowers that's been going strong since 1999 also. I hate to admit it, but it's probably my least care for engine too. Can't say enough good about Honda engines.

Is there much need for a 190cc over a 160cc? I'll need mine for mulching on the outlying areas of my property after I use my ZTR.

I think the GCV190 is a lot more powerful than the 160, but that's just me. My HRR would die in foot-tall grass, but with the HRX it sounds just like it does mowing 1-INCH grass!

It's surprising how much difference a few cc can make. Honda rates the GCV160 (160cc) at 4.4 HP and 6.9 lbf ft at 2,500 rpm and the GCV190 (187cc) at 5.1 HP and 8.3 lbf ft at 2,500 rpm.

Interesting. I guess it's worth spending the extra dollars for the extra power.

As a comparison, Honda uses their GSV160 and GXV160 engines on their commercial mowers. The GSV160 (160cc) on the push version is rated at 4.4 HP and 6.9 lbf ft torque, and the GXV160 (163cc) on their hydrostatic transmission commercial is rated at 4.3 HP and 7.1 lbf ft torque.
