Hello, new to the site. Hope im in the right place. Just purchased a reel mower from a farm sale.
has a one horse briggs& stratton. Self propelled. Trying to get it running. Nice overall condition.
wooden handle and rope wind start. Called a caldwell badger, manufactured in newburgh, ny

Russell... Welcome to the LMF! I haven't seen one of those reel type mowers since my neighbor had one when I was a kid. I used to marvel at this old skinny man puttering along behind that self-propelled thing. Quite amusing to me at the time. Not sure of the brand as I wasn't into mowers and engines at that time. Some English guy had one similar to it on here a few weeks back. Called it a "Suffolk Punch" something-or other. I have a picture of it on my album. I have yet to work on a powered reel mower.
