I found these listed on Amazon and details are limited at this time. The 17" model appears to be all plastic with 2 in 1 (mulch and bag) capability and the larger 19" model has a steel deck with 3 in 1 (mulch, bag and side discharge) capability. Both have a 1.5 to 4 inch cutting height adjustment range, which is the same as their current lead acid battery powered models.

New Earthwise 18" and 20" Li-Ion battery powered lawn mowers

Well, it appears that these two mowers are now 18" and 20" models, both with steel decks and 3 in 1 (mulch, bag, side discharge) capability. They are both supplied with two 40 volt Li-Ion batteries, and the 20" model has two battery compartments, so maybe it auto-switches to the second battery when the first is depleted like the Greenworks/Kobalt mowers. Both have single lever height adjustments with a range from 1.75" to 4" with 7" wheels in front and 9.5" wheels in the rear. The 18" model weighs 50 lbs and the 20" model weighs 53 lbs. Availability is mid January 2015 with the 18" model 60418 priced at $309.99 and the 20" model 60420 priced at $339.99. Warranty is 2 years.

I just bought the Earthwise 20" Li-Ion battery powered lawn mower

The price was $299.99 from Premier Appliance via Amazon with free shipping and no sales tax. They only had one in stock, so I quickly jumped on it. That price is $40 less than the current best internet price from Mowers Direct. Anyway, this model has been getting good reviews with most complaints being rather petty, so I took a chance. The main reason I bought it is that my current Greenworks Twin Force Li-Ion lawn mower has a maximum cutting height of 3-3/8", which is too low for summer grass cutting where I live, and the Earthwise 20" model 60420 maxes out at 4". I have been using my very heavy 24 volt SLA mower for summer cutting, and this new mower should knock about 40 lbs off the weight. It will also knock a lot time off battery recharging. The only thing I really do not like about this new mower is its mediocre warranty, which is only 2 years on the mower and 1 year on the battery. Everyone else offers at least a 2 year warranty on their Li-Ion batteries. Once I receive this mower and get a chance to put it through its paces I'll update this thread.

Researching the concept myself in looking for a replacement for
my Squeeze to use around the house. The ol' Rover pushie is getting
to be a little heavy for her light ageing frame and she is fastidious
on neat finish to edges - her ZTR work isn't close enough for her liking
and she insists on doing wheelies which leave divots, making more work
for me.
Lightweight 'lectric is looking good ;)

On Li batteries?
It pays to not run these below 50% of charge.
I have read different but historicly they recharge much faster
and get nowhere near as hot if kept well above heavy duty
cycles which running to "low" create, in use and recharge.

These small negatives will be eliminated as usage grows among
buyers, Thankyou for your updates... I watch on ;)

Yeuppp.. there ia another similar I saw a while back.
This guy does not mention the batteries swapping over
so I wonder if that feature has changed to just run continuous.

According to the Owner's Manual, this mower has the auto-switch battery feature that changes to the second battery once the first is depleted. It only draws power from one battery at a time. If it works like my Greenworks mower, it can operate with only one battery inserted in either compartment.

"AUTO SHIFT BATTERIES
Automatic battery switchover pulls power from the
second battery once the first is depleted to eliminate
downtime."
