Snapper has introduced a new 82 volt Li-Ion cordless blower that is a cross between a handheld and backpack style. The battery is separate from the blower, but sits in a holder on a waist belt instead of a back harness. The blower controls are backpack style with a top mount joystick and a strap the fits around the operator's forearm for support. The blower itself promises up to 700 CFM, which makes it the highest output electric blower currently available. It is currently available at Home Depot for $433.33 ($499 MSRP), including a 4 Ah (288 Wh) battery and charger.

Same 140 MPH as my 80V Kobalt, but 70 more CFM (700 vs. 630 for Kobalt) ... don't know if it is worth it at over double the price though.

The Kobalt is nicely balanced and an acceptable weight with the 2.5Ah battery that came with it.

With the 5Ah battery from the snow blower balance is off and it's a bit too heavy.

Wish GW would make a kit to relocate the battery to a backpack or belt for 80V tools tools like the Kobalt blower so you can use the bigger batteries with hand held tools designed for the smaller batteries.

Of course not having a battery in the normal tool location may put it out of balance too.
