Need to know where roll pin or spring pin goes on JD X320

I replaced the transmission drive belt and the cam on the deck height adjuster. When I removed the forward and reverse pedals a roll pin fell out and I did not see where it came from. Now I have my mower back together except for the roll pin.
Any ideas where it goes?

Roll pins or split pins don’t just fall out, they have to be driven out. If you didn’t drive it out and it just dropped to the ground, I would say it doesn’t go on your machine. Set it aside, someplace you will remember and use the unit. If it were needed you’ll find out quickly. Only place that might use a roll pin in that area is attaching the pedal to the shaft or shaft to the lever.
