Need Murray Model Number Help

Can someone put a model to this? 42 inch and 6 speed. The engine isnt original. I tried 42571x8a but gear shifter is on the left side. Mine is on right side.

Hi Davbell

I think you need to look all over the mower for a serial number tag on the mower. There should be one on there some where , on this tag will be a model number of the mower you need this information to get a model number. Lot of times its on the back of the mower frame where you would hook some towing equipment to.:licking::licking::licking::confused2:

Theres not one there. It was gone before the PO painted it WV colors.
 
If the engine is original, post the engine numbers and I might be able to do a reverse cross reference.

According to this schematic link here it looks correct with the shifter on the right side.
I have the same Murray at home and will double check my models number this evening and get back to you.

Here is the model identification tag on my Murray. It is a OHV16HP Tecumseh Enduro Industrial Commercial engine and a 42" cutting deck. It is similar to yours but different as the headlite lens is one piece all the way across grille instead of two piece.
