just bought a 2004 or '05 Troy Bilt Bronco.....they said it wouldnt start this year....and they were asking $250...this is over my limit!.....so they signed a receipt saying if the motor was blown..they would refund the money...[never had that offer before!]....so i took it!....[ he broke his back.. like me...so we were eye to eye ..like it happens sometimes in life].....i found the problem right away!....the float needle was glued into the carb.....i pulled it out with needlenose pliers.....very nasty!....at first i thought someone put glue in the gas tank as a sabotage thing..but saw the culprit....the plastic float had broke its tab that holds the needle [as in the picture]....im still thinking sabotage though..the stuff on the needle wasnt gas...some was black tar and some was rubber like Gaskacinch....maybe the mad ex girlfriend..[ so i heard through the GRAPEVINE:laughing:

thanks man!....it looks like a keeper!....[i say that everytime i buy one....its hopeless:laughing:]....this one had the worst carb i've ever seen....i took it off this morn and took it in to one of my mower shops....they say this was an ethanol issue....something they're seeing daily almost.....i didn't realize it would get that bad......i've since brought it home and is soaking the nasties away...should be ready to run in the morn.
