I have a Murray 125-38 riding mower with a 12.5 hp b&s motor that ran fine cut grass no problem then I came back to it two days later and it wouldn’t start and it also shot what seemed to be gas but may have been water out of the muffler (we’ve had a lot of rain down here recently). I replaced the fuel filter, fuel lines, spark plug, and air filter. I’ve also cleaned the carb. It runs no but only for 5-10 seconds before shutting off it doesn’t have a fuel pump so I’m not sure where to go from here got any ideas?

It shouldn't have water in the tank from rain unless the gas cap was off and the mower out in the weather . But i would sure check the oil level for gasoline because of briggs history of draining all the gas into the crankcase with the oil . I'd remove the plug , clean it with a flame and crank with plug out to purge the cylinder and go from there . Drop approx . a 1/4 teaspoon of gas in the top of carb , do not choke , and see what it does .
